Background

Buddhi was a digital platform founded by cancer survivor Kathleen Brown, who recognized a profound gap in emotional support for people navigating cancer. Through her own diagnosis and treatment, she saw how often traditional sources fell short and recognized the need for a more authentic, peer-to-peer emotional support system. Buddhi was created to reimagine that support system by offering a more human, relatable space where individuals could connect, share, and feel understood.

The platform combined survivor-led articles and videos, community forums, and virtual mental-wellness workshops. It aimed to move beyond traditional support groups toward a holistic environment that centered authentic connection and everyday emotional well-being to support healing across the entire cancer experience regardless of time, diagnosis, or geography.

My role

During its early-stage public beta phase, I supported UX optimizations across the platform as the team refined product–market fit. My work focused on improving on overall usability and information architecture optimizations in order to support the integration of new features such as the social support tool, wellness wallet and a curated marketplace, to help shape the experience and ramp up for public launch.
